Football courses:
The Shay Given Foundation has not organised any football courses in the Easter holiday's and at the present time there are no plans to run any courses in the North East in the immediate future
SGF courses are 4 days long and times are 10am to 3pm and for youngsters aged between 5 to 15 years, boys and girls. Each course will comprise of goal keeping and outfield sessions and may include other sports to cater for girls and boys, multi sports like basketball, cricket, table tennis and more.

Summer Courses:
Successful courses at Sedgefield and Ponteland..............Huge numbers at Lifford! The Sedgefield course this summer included multi sports and the children took part in playing basketball, badminton, rounders, cricket, table tennis and tennis. This new delivery proved very popular, to both the boys and the girls, and will again be on the timetable for the October courses.
The Lifford course in Ireland, in Shay’s hometown, was again a huge success with exactly 100 children taking part on the four day course. The number attending shows how popular Ireland’s number one ‘keeper is!
Ponteland High School was the venue for the last course of the summer holidays and Shay attended on the Wednesday afternoon to first watch the training, chat to the youngsters and to sign autographs and pose for photographs. Fratellis provided pizzas for the children on the course and a big thank you to Fabrizio Saba and Paul Bernardelli for their support to the SGF.
Every youngster attending the summer courses received a Shay Given Foundation football, a signed photo of Shay and an invite to a Christmas party at St James’ Park in December.
Football and goal keeping courses are organised for the October Holidays again, at Sedgefield, Ponteland and Lifford.
